For the most part, I am better. I was really sick for one day and I feel lucky that it was no longer. The rest of the week wasn’t as bad. No meds were needed except for my Albuterol inhaler which I always use for anything upper respiratory related.
On the worst two days, my head was so congested that it made my cheekbones, jawbones, and teeth hurt from the pressure. I’d never had that happen before. I felt like my head might explode! Relieving the pressure required three boxes of tissues, half a jar of vaporizing rub with Eucalyptus, Camphor, and Menthol, a few doses of Tylenol, and several packages of Picante Ramen Noodles. It also helped to press hot, moist wash clothes against my face.
The best part of the week, besides realizing that I wasn’t as sick as I feared I might be, was when a care package was dropped off on my porch, compliments of my friend, Della. The soup, made by her daughter, Sam, had just enough of a pepper kick in it to make my sinuses sit up and pay attention.

While I am much better, I am still trying to cough up a lung. From what I understand, this could go on for awhile. I don’t think I’m contagious anymore but I’m going to stay home for a few more days. It’s funny, but in any given week, I am happy to stay at home. Now, after being quarantined and having to stay home all week, I’ve been chomping at the bit to go somewhere, anywhere! That is definitely just a few steps beyond normal for this homebody.
I’m glad you’re feeling better!
